If you use autocomplete to add an item to the list it stays in the crossed off section. Then when you are shopping & you cross off the item from your list it appears in the crossed off section again. Over time the number of duplicates grows & grows.

Windows Phone platform
Make a Windows Phone version!! Windows Phone is the fastest growing platform worldwide. 'Buy Me a Pie' should also be part of that development!

Add items via Google Now / Assistant
Recently I have been using Google Keep for my shopping list because it is very easy just to say to my phone "ok Google add cheese to my shopping list" and it does that! This should be something that Buy Me a Pie could do... Surely the API is available from Google?

Possibility to name and sort the categories (colors right now) like the sections in the Supermarket
The possibility to name and sort the categories (colors only right now) like the sections in the Supermarket are to have the list in logical order, like you walk thru the stores. That needs the possibility as well, to set that up by list (like drug store / supermarket) because each store is set up individual. Additionally the user should be able to set up new categories.

Ability to add notes to an item
Product name should be short and sweet, since it is persisted in the "product dictionary". For example, "Carrots". Notes should not be stored in the "product list", but should only exist on products added to a shopping list. For example, "Pre-washed, if they have any. Otherwise, get whatever they have". Such notes should be "one-time explanations" for a given trip to the store. For example, a wife adding an item to the list for her husband to pick up, adding just a little more detail without cluttering "product dictionary".

Or remove the maximum entirely. Some need more than 8 lists!
